Does Sadie sell or supply alcohol?

You supply the drinks and we do the rest!

Whether you’ve got a favourite local supplier, found a great special or want to buy wholesale, you can stock the bar with exactly what you love - and we will take care of the rest.

Sadie Swoon is not licensed to sell or supply alcohol. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are to be supplied buy the event organiser, with Sadie Swoon providing the bar, staff and drinks service.

What about staff?

Sadie Swoon comes with two experienced staff members to keep your drinks service running smoothly from start to finish.

For weddings and events with over 100 guests, we recommend adding a third staff member to ensure your bar service remains efficient, seamless and stress-free throughout your event.

What does Sadie serve?

Talk to us about what you want but normally we serve beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks from Sadie's bar. We have beautiful tubs to fill with ice for your beer bottles and have ice in the sink (and a fridge) for wine and non-alcoholic beverages. And we will bring some stylish drinks dispensers to fill with infused water for your guests.

How are drinks cooled?

Sadie comes with a small fridge (which needs mains power) and has a sink we can fill with ice and lay bottles in too. We also have drinks tubs we can put ice in. We do recommend that you keep your drinks chilled beforehand in a fridge or a chiller trailer. You can hire these from bottle stores and party hire shops.

What areas does Sadie travel to?

Sadie is based in the beautiful Hutt Valley in Wellington but is always happy to travel southward to see new friends into the Wellington Region, including the Wairarapa, and into parts of the Manawatu-Horowhenua. If your event is more than 25km away from her base, then travel fees will apply.

If you have an event outside of Wellington, then please do ask. Sadie may just be available to take a trip on the road to meet you.

Does Sadie need power and water?

Sadie looks and sounds her best when she is plugged in. This can be done from any mains source that we can run a lead to. However, if your event is in a remote spot, she can run off a generator.

We will need to have access to some water supplies to fill the drinks dispensers for your guests. Sadie can have a designated hose attached to her (provided) to bring water to her, or we will need access elsewhere. Sadie doesn't have the space to clean glasses, so guests are encouraged to reuse their glassware.

Is there a deposit to hold a booking?

Yes. Once you are happy with everything, we will send an invoice to you and a booking agreement. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold a date for you. The remainder is due two weeks before your event.
